I am familiar with this hunger. I followed it here, too. The only difference between us is that my desire was to become the weight bearing down – instead of being crushed beneath it.
Like many others, my journey has been one of reclamation. The next natural step for me to leave behind patriarchal narratives that I could never abide, was to embrace my most authentic self.
